Welcome to ACE 2008
We are pleased to announce the 39th annual conference of the Association of Canadian Ergonomists/Association canadienne dergonomie.
This years conference theme "Demistifying Ergonomics", explores the many fields involved in ergonomics design of productive, healthy and effective working environments. When physical, cognitive, biological and behavioural sciences interact with design technology, organizations have shown that ergonomics can make a difference to improve our daily lives.
Our conference venue is the Château Cartier, a golf resort and spa located on 152 acres in Gatineau, and an 8 minute drive from downtown Ottawa. The National Capital region is home of the historic Parliament buildings as well as the Rideau Canal, world heritage sight. The Gatineau hills will be alive with the fall colours. This picturesque venue is the perfect setting to learn, share your experiences, renew acquaintances and make new contacts.
A strong technical program is planned that will include internationally renowned keynote speakers, professional development pre-conference workshops, and a balance of both theoretical and applied technical sessions. Also planned are technical tours, panel sessions and paper presentations from leading researchers, practitioners and students as well as many networking opportunities. We invite you to join our international delegation of professionals, whose common goal is to enhance the safety and effectiveness of people at work and at play.
See you in the National Capital Region!
