Jennifer Kenny

Jennifer has been an Ergonomics Consultant with WorkSafeNB in Saint John, New Brunswick since 2004. She completed a degree in Kinesiology from Dalhousie University in 1999, and is currently working towards a Master of Science in Exercise and Sport Science from UNB. Her research is focused on safe resident transfer and repositioning in New Brunswick nursing homes.

Nancy Black, PhD. P.Eng., is Associate professor in Mechanical Engineering at Université de Moncton.  She holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, M.A.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and a B.A.Sc. in Systems Design Engineering.  She worked for over two years at Air Canada (systems analyst)..  She has been with Université de Moncton since 1994.  Her special interest is in understanding and preventing of musculoskeletal disorders and this, particularly applied to people with physical disabilities (including upper limb amputees, paraplegic adults).  She feels strongly that today’s technologies and measurement tools, ergonomics and industrial engineering must address the challenges for all people, not just the “normal population”.

Michelle Rae
 
Michelle is a PhD student in interdisciplinary studies at the University of New Brunswick. Her thesis topic is on evaluating the physical and cognitive concerns among RCMP police officers. The goal of her research is to identify fatigue mechanism, injury and cognitive demands in an effort to aid in the future re-engineering of the police car space.
